Large compound, lime green leaves! If given at least a few hours of sun a day, the foliage will remain yellow-green all summer. In heavier shade, the foliage ranges from chartreuse to lime green. Tiny white flowers are followed by nearly black, inedible berries.
Cultivation: Best grown in moist, fertile, humusy, well-drained soils in part shade. Site in locations protected from strong winds.
Utilization: Pops out of the gloom at the back of a woodland garden. Use as a specimen plant, can be used in place of a shrub.
