HEMEROCALLIS ‘Double Pardon Me’ (Daylily)

Description

Daylilies have naturalized along many highways throughout North America; it’s difficult to think of a hardier plant. Their vigorous growth habit is not usually impeded by any insects or disease. They seemto grow in any soil, and they are quite salt tolerant. While a profusion of bloom is assured in any sunny garden, part shade is easily tolerated. Although the flower of this plant does indeed last only one day, a scape will have numerous buds, and a plant will have many scapes. Therefore a mature plant will have many flowers open at any one time. By choosing varieties that bloom at different times, the Daylily garden can be in bloom for months.

red MSU 18″H x 18-24″W Mid-summer bloomer, named after the popular Pardon Me. Large deep red flowers like its namesake, but double with as many as 18 tepals for a unique twist. Commonly called Daylily. Full sun to part shade.
