Uses Notes
Great large shrub for landscape use, young plants can be used in containers but will need to be moved to the landscape as they mature. Can be trained into a small tree. This is an excellent plant for the mixed border or as a specimen plant.
Maintenance
Blooms in late summer. Grows in any soil unless it is either really wet or dry. Prune in late fall or early spring. Can be heavily pruned, although this is usually not necessary. Prefers medium moisture. Deciduous shrub. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.
