Description

PLANT:  Long-lived, low-growing mats of evergreen foliage with vivid violet-purple flowers in spring that look like pinwheels.

CULTIVATION: Prefers full sun in moderately fertile well-drained soil. To stimulate fresh growth, shear back after spring flowering.

UTILIZATION: A tough, durable groundcover that is excellent for erosion control on steep banks, edging flower beds, and growing among rocks.
