Description

Common Name: Slicer, canning

Indeterminate

Height: 42”

Exposure: Full Sun

Water Needs: Tomato plants need consistent watering in order to avoid split fruit – water whenever the soil is dry; in the full heat of summer, they will probably need water daily. Fertilize with Tomato Food every two weeks for best results. Do not get the foliage wet, water from the base. We highly recommend that you put weed barrier or mulch around the base of your tomatoes (when planted in the ground) in order to avoid dirt splashing up onto the leaves, which can lead to disease.

Introduced 1948. This round, 5-8 ounce, 3” juicy fruit is very flavorful,. This is a favorite tomato of many old time gardeners, especially in the Midwest. The plants have a high yield.
