Water Needs: Tomato plants need consistent watering in order to avoid split fruit – water whenever the soil is dry; in the full heat of summer, they will probably need water daily. Fertilize with Tomato Food every two weeks for best results. Do not get the foliage wet, water from the base. We highly recommend that you put weed barrier or mulch around the base of your tomatoes (when planted in the ground) in order to avoid dirt splashing up onto the leaves, which can lead to disease.
Looking for the perfect Summer party hors d’oeuvres? You’ve found it with Yellow Pear! A favorite of heirloom tomato gardeners for decades, this vigorous plant bears enormous numbers of bright yellow, bite-sized fruit that have a deliciously tangy flavor.
