Blueberry – Bonus

Description

Zone: 4-8                 (4-5′ H x 3-4′ W)

Full to part sun

Named because of its very high yields and extra-large fruit. A cultivar of the Elliott variety. A mature bush will produce 8-12 pounds per year. Extra-large berries (only approximately 100 berries per pound), are very sweet.  Harvest in mid to late summer, though warmer summers will produce earlier fruit. Blueberries prefer a more acidic soil type, and should be fertilized regularly during its fruit production for highest yeilds. Acidic fertilizers are prefered for soils with high PH (more basic soils), and fertilizer spikes can be used as well, see product info for more specifics.
