Italian oregano is milder tasting than Greek oregano and is one of the most versatile and flavorful herbs for making sauces and soups in the kitchen. The leaves of Italian oregano are slightly larger than those of their Greek cousin and are easy to dry and store for later use. Oregano requires little maintenance and makes an excellent edging plant or ground covering, even in dry garden spots.
