Sage – Purple

$5.99

Description

Purple Sage is a striking herb with its rough, pebble-textured leaves and dark purple undertones. This sage produces showy deep blue flowers in late spring and they remain through much of the summer. They are best planted in spring or early summer and are fast-growing. They are pollinator magnets and help increase the overall harvest from your veggie garden. The highly aromatic leaves can be used in substitute for garden sage, though they are best enjoyed cooked rather than raw. Considered a heal-all by the Native American Indians, this sage does contain high amounts of Vitaman C and A, as well as chemicals that promote digestive health.
