A descendent of old ‘Beefsteak’, this tomato features huge, 12-18 oz. fruits that are slightly ribbed and a deep red color with the classic beefsteak shape. Old-fashioned tomato flavor from meaty, thick-fleshed fruits that have very few seeds. Productive, prolonged harvests from highly disease-resistant plants. Best grown with supports or a cage, prune away low hanging branches to reduce disease. Tomatoes have high water needs and should be watered regularly and mulched with weed barrier or wood chips to retain moisture. Fertilize heavily once fruit production begins to ensure the best harvest!
