Water Needs: Tomato plants need consistent watering in order to avoid split fruit – water whenever the soil is dry; in the full heat of summer, they will probably need water daily. Fertilize with Tomato Food every two weeks for best results. Do not get the foliage wet, water from the base. We highly recommend that you put weed barrier or mulch around the base of your tomatoes (when planted in the ground) in order to avoid dirt splashing up onto the leaves, which can lead to disease.
Be the first on your block with fresh tomatoes! Producing small, luscious fruits, Fourth Of July is one of the earliest-producing varieties you can grow. You can continue to harvest until late Summer or early Fall.
