Coreopsis x Red Elf (Tickseed)

Description

PLANT: These naturally compact cultivars exhibit the same great disease resistance and long bloom time as their counterpart BIG BANG Series but measure in at about half the height. Deep burgundy-red, sterile blossoms have lightly frosted white tips in high summer. Attracts bees and hummingbirds

CULTIVATION: Thrives in well-drained soil in full sun. Drought tolerant.  Cut back after first flush of flowers to promote reblooming.

UTILIZATION: Plant in groupings with ornamental grasses, salvia, and eryngium. Also nice with roses.
